First, there was the cronut. Then, there was the milk and cookie shot. Now, there's the edible coffee cup.

Alfred Coffee & Kitchen in Los Angeles is selling the Alfred Cone: a waffle cone with a chocolate-dipped rim filled with warm, delicious espresso or macchiato.

Josh Zad found the cones at Zia Valentina, a granita bar in L.A.'s Farmers Market, made by Naomi Kashi and her sister Dorit Simone. That's when he came up with the idea of adding the waffle cone coffee cup to the restaurant's secret menu.

Store manager Ashlee Lawson will tell you she recommends the macchiato because the expresso melted with the chocolate makes a baby mocha.

What I love about this concept (besides the cute little chocolate dipped waffle cones) is that they fill them with the most delicious coffee by Stumptown- my go-to coffee stop when I lived in NYC. If you aren't familiar, read more about them here

The $8 price tag ($5 cone +  $3 coffee) may cost you a little more than you morning Starbucks run but hey, at least it's sustainable (and again, cute).
